1. Using Chrome
The Gemini app is available as a PWA (Progressive Web App) on Chromebook, which acts like a native app. It is fast and lightweight and can be installed using the Chrome browser:

2. Navigate to the official Gemini site at gemini.google.com and sign in with your Google account.

Note: If you see an ‘Install page as app‘ option instead, you can simply click it to install Gemini directly, no need to create a shortcut manually.
2. Using App Mall
There’s also another easy way to install Gemini on your Chromebook, using the App Mall. To access this feature, make sure your device is running ChromeOS version 135 or later.
Once updated, the App Mall will appear in your App Launcher, giving you a central hub to discover and install optimized apps and games, including Gemini.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Click the App Launcher icon and open Apps & Games (App Mall).
2. In the search bar, type Gemini, then select the app from the results.
3. Click Install from Web, then hit Install to add Gemini to your Chromebook.
You can access it from the App Launcher by clicking the circle icon in the lower-left corner of your screen and searching for Gemini. If you’d like, you can also pin it to the shelf for quick access.
