Apple Music is one of the top music streaming platforms today, offering access to over 100 million songs, curated playlists, and exclusive artist content. While it’s most commonly used on Apple devices like iPhones, iPads, and Macs, you don’t need an Apple product to enjoy it. Apple has made it surprisingly easy for users across different platforms to experience their music service without missing a beat.

If you have a Chromebook, you can easily install and use Apple Music with just a few simple steps. Whether you prefer using the Android app or a lightweight web app, we’ll walk you through both methods so you can start streaming your favorite music right away.

Install Apple Music from Play Store on Chromebook

If your Chromebook supports the Play Store, you can enable Play Services to gain access to the Play Store. From there, you can easily install the official Android version of Apple Music for the best streaming experience. Here’s how to set it up:

1. Start by opening the Play Store. You’ll find the Play Store icon in your App Launcher. Click the icon to open the launcher, where you can easily search for apps or scroll through your installed apps.

4. Once the app is installed, go back to the App Launcher and scroll through your apps until you find Apple Music. Click the icon to open the app, and you’ll be taken directly to the Apple Music interface. Sign in with your Apple ID, and you’ll be ready to use it on your Chromebook.

Apple Music Plan

You’ll need an Apple Music subscription to access the service. If you don’t have an active subscription, you can sign up for a free trial within the app or get a subscription directly.

Once signed in, you’ll have full access to your music library, playlists, curated content, and all the features Apple Music has to offer.

Install Apple Music PWA Version on Chromebook

If your Chromebook doesn’t support Android apps or you prefer a lightweight option, you can install the Progressive Web App (PWA) version of Apple Music. It’s quick, easy, and keeps your app up to date automatically.

1. Open the Chrome browser on your Chromebook and go to music.apple.com.

2. Once the site loads, click the three vertical dots (the menu icon) located in the top-right corner of the Chrome browser window.

3. From the dropdown menu, hover over Save and Share, then select the Install Apple Music option. This will allow you to install Apple Music as a standalone web app on your Chromebook.

4. A confirmation pop-up will appear asking if you want to install Apple Music. Click the Install button to continue.

5. Once the installation is complete, the Apple Music app will appear in your App Launcher, right alongside your other installed apps. You can open it just like a regular app without needing to visit the website every time.

Using the Android app gives you a full-featured experience, including offline downloads, lossless audio options, and access to your entire library. The web app is perfect if you want quick access without installing anything, which is ideal for saving storage space on your Chromebook. No matter which method you choose, getting Apple Music running on your Chromebook is fast and simple.
