How to Remove OneDrive Integration from Your Chromebook
Recommended: Use NordVPN on your Chromebook to stay secure online.

With the latest version of ChromeOS, you now have the option to integrate Microsoft OneDrive directly into the Files app. This makes accessing your cloud storage a whole lot easier. You can either connect to OneDrive manually through the Files app or install Microsoft 365 on your Chromebook, which adds deeper integration and quick access to your OneDrive files right from the Files app.

But what if you no longer need it or just want to clean things up? Whether you’re switching cloud services or simply want to declutter your setup, removing OneDrive integration is totally doable.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the different ways to disable or remove OneDrive from your Chromebook.

If you want to use OneDrive, you can visit onedrive.live.com or add OneDrive integration to your Chromebook. However, if you’ve changed your mind or simply want to disconnect your Microsoft OneDrive account, here’s how to remove OneDrive from the Files app using both the Files app and system settings.

1. Remove OneDrive from the Files App

Using the Files app, you can access your OneDrive files and folders and you can also use it to easily remove the integration. Here’s how:

1. Open the Files app on your Chromebook from the App Drawer or the Chromebook shelf.

2. In the sidebar, right-click on Microsoft OneDrive.

3. Select Close or Remove to disconnect OneDrive from the Files app.
